The initial aim behind this project was to create a brand and t-shirt designs inspired by the mash-up of two cultures, one classic, one contemporary. After much deliberation, I decided that the culture-mash will be between Ancient Greek Mythology and Mass Pop Culture, creating designs which visualise the Mythological Gods with modern accents, decal and attire.
Both the ancient greek and contemporary pop cultures had something in common, 2D patterns and block colour, just used in different ways. This not only made the mix of cultures work well but also led to some very successful designs.
