The R&A: One of Golf's Biggest Rulings Explained | Jordan Spieth
Something a little different to my usual beauty edits! I worked with GH05T on this mini doc for the R&A.
One of the most talked about major moments occured at Royal Birkdale when Jordan Spieth declared an unplayable at the 13th Hole in the final round of The Open Championship. Jordan Spieth would end up taking his 3rd shot from the driving range on the way to a fighting bogey, which would set him in motion to surge in the last few holes to become a Champion Golfer.
The three officials involved on the day; David Rickman, John Paramor and David Bonsall, share their experience, explain how the incident played out, and break down the complexities of the Ruling, as well as give advice to fellow referees on how to deal with similar situations.
