Spent some time with dancers of The Royal Ballet at The Royal Opera House in London. Having done a lot of ballet myself, I thought it was such a privilege to capture professional dancers in their own world. The same way we would go to an office and work on different projects, dancers go to work, and work on different pieces. Usually, they work on a few shows at a time, going from rehearsal to rehearsal, memorising all the steps and movements needed for every different character, all while staying graceful, string, and poised. I really wanted to show what happens behind the curtain, as most people think ballet is just tutus and tiaras but it is much more than that. It is strength and grace, blood and sweat, that leads to the beautiful established spectacle that we all see.
