The Second Home Serpentine Pavilion at La Brea Tar Pits

Second Home is collaborating with Natural History Museum to bring the acclaimed 2015 Serpentine Pavilion designed by SelgasCano to Los Angeles from 28th June to November 2019 The Second Home Serpentine Pavilion by SelgasCano at La Brea Tar Pits will offer the public a flexible, multi-purpose social space in which to enjoy public programmes and events focusing on the intersection of art, design, science, and nature. The installation in Los Angeles at the iconic La Brea Tar Pits—the only active urban Ice Age excavation site in the world—will mark the first time that a Serpentine Pavilion has been presented in the United States, and Los Angeles will be its only venue. Our programme will be celebrating all the weird, wonderful, sometimes esoteric cultures that make up Los Angeles. Bringing them all together in one place to demonstrate Second Home's value of diversity and convergence in the best way possible. Full programme coming soon!
