Digital Painting produced for the COIN Project at the Lighthouse, Poole. During the past year, my Nan, Peggy, has lost her lively social life. So every week, myself and my parents pile into their campervan to take Peggy out for dinner in the “Mo-Ho” and admire our local landscapes. I always take a sketchbook and draw while we eat, share stories and enjoy YouTube videos of live music. I’ve been honored to learnt about her incredible 82 years of life, but the person missing from our adventures is my Grandad Tony (Landlord of The White Hart, Longham for 13 years). I’ve been wanting to create these pieces for a while, but I was just waiting for the right context. My Nan was a regular at the Lighthouse before the pandemic (so much so, she has a plaque on her favourite seat!) so producing this work with this venue in mind has been really special.
