The Wynkyn De Worde Design Competition

The brief for this project was to create a new and exciting cover for Louis Sachar's book 'Holes'. My concept, was to create a visual depth within the cover using a digital paper layer effect. This was to reflect the holes of the scenery of the book and the links between past and present within the story. Using a large lizard silhouette, instead of just holes, was much more interesting and impactful. My cover was highly commended by the judges of the competition.
