Theatre Posters

For this project I was tasked with taking two old plays and making them appealing to a modern audience. In this case, I chose Lysistrata by Aristophanes and Tamburlaine the Great by Christopher Marlowe. After researching these plays, I found that both could be interpreted in a political light and thus decided to make them look like propaganda posters using Russian Constructivism as visual inspiration.
