theBranch allows the creation of two types of profiles: Sellers and Users.
- Sellers can access theBranch store tools, to promote their products and manage all orders and requests in one single platform.
- Users can see what products are available, like and purchase them, without being redirected to third party pages. All the process is done in-app!

COVID-19
Due to the current situation of COVID-19 that we're going through and that forced companies and the economy itself to restructure and adapt to this new reality, many businesses are experiencing a decrease in sales and started looking for digitization solutions, like, for instance, the creation of online stores and the investment in social media advertising.
However, the truth is that most of these businesses do not have enough capital to invest in these kind of solutions.
It's from this need that theBranch arises: a platform where anyone can create their digital store, quickly, easily and without additional costs.
This project aims to boost sales of small and medium businesses by allowing these entrepreneurs to promote, develop and generate profit for their business, without any costs in technology development and maintenance, as well as contributing to the economic development of the regions in which they are located and, ultimately, to their country's economy.
Since the basis of our project is to be a social network, where users can not only buy products, but also give likes or create their own product collections (two quite common features to the main social networks we use), which means scalability is already inherent. And, with growth, there will be the possibility to increase the promotion and dissemination not only of theBranch platform but also of the merchants present in the platform, which will generate more awareness and bring more users (both buyers and sellers).
