This Is Not An Echo Chamber (2020)

When founding the SOAS PoC Drama Society, I had a goal in mind: to decolonise ways of thinking and working at the University through theatre. This Is Not An Echo Chamber was a collaboratively-devised play, showcasing physical theatre and political monologuing in order to tell a story of the University, colonialism, militarism and the students fighting against these forces. This project was written, directed and performed entirely by women and non-binary students of colour. The first and only performance took place at Theatre Peckham on 8th March 2020; the Covid-19 pandemic prevented us from presenting this project again.
