This Way Forward - Berlin Documentary Photography

These images were presented as my final project for a month-long photography class completed in Berlin. We were tasked with capturing images in documentary form, and instructed to focus on telling a story that could only be told in Berlin. I chose to visually represent the fluid history of Berlin, and how the desire to move forward can be hindered by resolute reminders of the past. This project strips away color to direct attention to form and movement, and subsequent contrasts in stagnation and energy.
