Three stages

  • Nicholas Wright Daniel

The idea behind the design of these prints is to represent the three stages of danger. The black skull design was implemented to show hazard. Red means critical, orange means leave the area, yellow means tend to the problem immediately. The first, print was made using a crimson red. I feel that this particular red shows the gravity of the situation because of its resemblance to blood. The second print I used a dark orange to show the second stage, I made a couple of yellow blots to show the tone shift between the two and to show that the threat is becoming more urgent. the third print uses an amber yellow to represent the increasing risk and the black lines have only been done around the edges of the skull to further demonstrate this.
