TIDE - Improving Mens Mental Health through the power of Movement

TIDE is a new platform with the aim of improving men’s mental health through the power of movement and sense of community. Men’s mental health has long had a ring of taboos, shame and stigma surrounding it meaning men often don’t seek help. 76% of UK suicides are men yet only 34% of people accessing mental health services are men. This shows the need for a new approach. TIDE offers men aged 18-50 the chance to join a community based around exercise to improve their mental health. Exercise and social interaction has been proven extensively to improve mental health and well-being and this is the foundation TIDE has been created on.
