Art Direction for Tilted Axis Press - founded and driven by the brilliant Deborah Smith. Tilted Axis is a not-for-profit publishing company on a mission to shake up the world lit scene, publishing fresh, exciting voices from places like Bangkok & Kolkata, Seoul & Jakarta: mainly translations, mainly women. I have established the look of the press for colour palette, to graphic tics, to typography. I design the covers for each title, see below, with author drawings which sit on the back of the books for a personal touch.
Art directing the Press is an ongoing commitment. It's not all about dead white men.
