Time Flies

  • Mario Guarino
Shot in late 2013 this is an experimental project, completely new of its kind compared to the past work of Mario Guarino.
He departs from his usual subjects by exploring the world of symbolism in what is referred to in traditional classic painting as “Natura Morta” Still Life. The golden birds hanging upside down represent the transient nature of human thoughts, will and ideals, symbols of the passing of time, hung like sacrificial offerings in an undefined space.
The photographs are shot on medium format negative film and printed on special Kodak metallic paper with traditional C-print technique in a limited signed edition of 10.
