To Solitude + Outtakes (The Day of The Daddy- Designer Siyi Long) These images focus on the idea of isolation through the use of semiotics. The concept of the shoot was originally inspired by John Keat’s poem ‘To Solitude’(1814), extract of poem shown below. O solitude! if I must with thee dwell, Let it not be among the jumbled heap Of murky buildings; climb with me the steep,— Nature’s observatory—whence the dell, Its flowery slopes, its river’s crystal swell, Modernising the poem, through a photographic process we wanted to show how certain people feel in today’s society and how they should overcome it.Thus shooting at Hampstead Heath using the designer Siyi Long's latest collection 'The Day of The Daddy' was the perfect idea. Shot strictly on film this perfectly compliemnted our setting towards the poem as the colours created from the film gave an enlightened impression. Siyi Long is one of the most exciting women fashion designers to watch, who recently graduated. Photography: @freddiestisted @georgebpower Stylist: @callumsmithh Model: @patricktshibangu_
