TONIC REPS REPRESENTS FENTON BAILEY FOR L'UOMO VOGUE

  • Beverley Luckings
Represented by London based agency Tonic Reps, Fenton Bailey has already made an impact in the creative world. His intimate style and passion fuelled approach has seen his work published in Hunger TV, Hunger, Wonderland and Vogue. And with a variety of unique collaborations on a number of art projects, it’s safe to say he has a multitude of strings to his bow. So, it’s no surprise he has an eye for the capital’s emerging talent. As Fenton admits, “with some help from my friend Fran Cutler (she knows everyone in London), we found some incredibly interesting people. It was important not to over style them, instead, presenting them as they are, in their own clothes. It felt very natural, especially shooting on a 5x4 plate camera which is my favourite.” The whole project champions the artist’s personality, which is at the core of Tonic Reps’ philosophy. They go on to say: “We represent a mix of emerging and established artists, each with their own point of view. We’re about nurturing the talent and giving it a voice. Fenton’s portraits capture the essence of authentic and original photography, showcasing London’s next generation - which of course includes him.” The portraits will be in print for L’Uomo Vogue from June 12th 2018.
