WorkHorse Collective is run by multi-disciplinary urban photographers, Kat Huber, Becky Morris-Knight and Lee Gavin working across photographic and multimedia practices. WorkHorse applies a sociological lens to interrogate and produce substantive, purpose-driven work. With different backgrounds and interests, what unites the three is a considered approach to making work about urban cultures and places. They do this through events, online publications and a zine, WerkHaus, which invites collaborators to submit their work. During the talk, they will share their process of setting up and maintaining a collective whilst balancing their own creative practices and careers, and will share their process and lessons learned when it comes to curation, collaboration and call-outs.
