A chance to make yourself a pair of truly traditional hand welted shoes, students will start by creating their own bespoke Derby or Oxford patterns, learning the in-depth and technical methods of creating a perfect upper with a great selection of calf leather uppers to choose from. The second half of the course will be diving into the long lost art of Hand Welting, a bygone era process to create truly top quality shoes that only a hand full of Shoemakers in the UK still make.
