Transformations

  • Tuuli Bell

Connecting workspace for compassion, reformation, and newness Using traditional painting and drawing methods this project will invite participants to sit alongside sculptural works and create free hand drawings. Opening a creative dialogue, in a task that some may have never experienced. These creations will be collected and documented by Tuuli and Elizabeth, reimagined and transformed into a singular, collaborative piece. We have considered the states in which humans are most likely to feel fulfilled, open, and successful. Discussing Brené Brown’s work on the links between vulnerability and success, this project aims to create a safe, immersive space where women can create in a vulnerable and explorative state, ready to enter the next stages of the conference. By transforming the initial works of the participants, we use this visual metaphor, to highlight the importance of conversation and collaboration through events. Towards the end of the conference, a digital image of the outcome curated by Elizabeth and Tuuli will be shown through a projection. A story of the day’s conversations is read as the projected image enters the stage.
