TRANSPARENT WASTE- Graduate collection

Gracie D’Silva celebrates her first individualistic collection that creates avant-garde, natural designs with a realization of current issues. Spring/summer 2021 is inspired by Gracie’s first hand experiences of overconsumption/production of clothing and the lack of transparency within the fashion industry. Transparent Waste. With innovative use of upcycling unwanted materials combined with circular design strategies, Transparent Waste is an opportunity to rethink our approach to the way we design and make clothes. A move to a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry will jumpstart other industries/ organisations to consider their environmental and ethical impact on the planet. We need to evolve the fashion industry in order for it to survive.
