Trend forecasting & concept development

For the first project of year three, I created my own trend forecasting company and produced a trend pack for AW 23/24. My company name was the third eye which was symbolic to the company acting as the eye of insight into the future of fashion. For the project, I had to conduct relevant PESTLE research into the macro environment to identify two relevant Macro trends for AW 23/24. The first trend that was identified was Inside-out, this trend was focused on healing our minds, bodies, and souls as we have begun to enter post-pandemic life. The trend also had a key focus on sustainability and its colour story drew inspiration from the earth's natural elements.  The second trend I identified was Lucid dreams, this trend is about the idea of reality shifting through technology. The pandemic helped digital technology advance by several years introducing concepts the 5g and advanced VR. We are now able to direct our consciousness into different realities. The trend focuses on 3D designs, weightless materials, and graphic prints.
