Tribal Forehead is a concept and shoot I developed to explore Black identity and culture. This piece draws inspiration from African tribal symbols, which hold profound meanings; the symbol used here represents humility and strength. I wanted to push creative boundaries by turning this into a more abstract piece, challenging myself in post-production to discover unique ways to express identity through layered imagery. By overlapping key African features of the model, I sought to evoke a sense of lineage, depth, and connection to heritage. Placing the symbol of humility and strength on his forehead serves as a focal point, emphasizing resilience and empowerment. Through abstraction and symbolism, I aimed to honor the complexity, pride, and rich narrative within Black identity.
