Trust new art Bristol

  • James Phillips
The National Trust approached Rusk to design an identity, responsive website, poster campaign, signage and exhibition guide, for its new contemporary arts programme in partnership with The Arts Council England. Aimed at a young and informed audience, the identity is fresh and website user experience current. Core themes of Trust New Art Bristol (TNAB) values, were challenging perceptions; contemporary art in historic contexts, the everyday versus the magnificent, rural versus urban and people's perceptions of The National Trust itself. Being avant-garde and progressive in their approach, more controversial ideas were initially presented, before a cleaner direction which subtly reflected the perception theme in the form of an illusion in the lettering, notably the 'A' was decided on.
All work was exceptionally well-received by the client and visitors alike.
