Feeling absolutely honoured, inspired and incentivised at the end of this week, having been involved in the 2020 Trust for Sustainable Living Partner Power International Schools' Debates and Summit. From day 1 - listening to an all-women panel featuring Fallon Hayes, 19 year old Kehkashan Basu and Kelsey Belle discuss the importance of partnerships when it comes to protecting biodiversity over the next decade. Day 2 - A webinar chaired by James Close, hosting 17 year old Sapna Pramjee, Kate Hand and Tom Rivett-Carnac, conversing about 'climate action' over the next decade. Day 3 - Dan Jones, Luiz Alvaro from São Paulo, Travis Heneveld and Bernard Combes on sustainable cities and communities. to Day 4 - A webinar chaired by Diane Brady, hosting 14 year old Gitanjali Rao, Barry Murrer and Yukio Himiyama on how we can 'listen' to the science as we move towards a more sustainable and adaptable future. It is hard not to maintain a sense of 'stubborn optimism' as we continue these conversations with students, teachers and navigate this tumultuous time. Thank you to Eva Ellis who helped coordinate this effort with optimism & warmth.
