Túnel Universo
“Túnel Universo”, It is the largest interactive exhibition on astronomy in Latin America and is located in the Mirador Interactive Museum in Chile and aims to bring current knowledge and astronomical research to children, youth and their families, through meaningful educational experiences and teaching resources to stimulate the learning, based on autonomous exploration, playful and interactive.
Kind of stars
When the stars are born, they are formed with different amounts of mass and their own evolution throughout their life transforms them, so we develop an interactive and physical application, where the visitor can compare the size, color and temperature of a set of stars, among which is the Sun.
It consists of a interactive table with IRFID identifier. By putting the identification objects in contact with the interactive table, the software recognizes, compares and displays animation with the educational contents of the stars.
Cultural constellations
The constellations that we know reflect the cosmogony of classical cultures like the Greek one but in other regions of the planet the same stars give rise to other interpretations linked to the worldview of each culture.
It consists of a video wall and a tactile interaction zone. The user can slide his finger through the interaction zone and the software will recognize its position and display the animated contents on the video wall allowing to compare between different cultures.
Knowing the sun
The Sun is a 4,500-million-year-old star, relatively common in the universe, but with characteristics that make it unique. In this module you can know the surface and interior of the sun and experience how it is viewed from the Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite.
It consists of a video wall and two viewers. The video wall shows sun visualizations in timelapse format and displays the content through a manual controller. The viewers are activated with the presence and shows animations with the characteristics of the interior and solar surface.
