Turn The Tide- ISTD Brief

The brief was to design a type-based brand identity for a fashion accessories brand. The brand had to have a typographic solution using typefaces from Monotype. The brand needed to be locally manufactured and sustainable. A luxury product for the discerning, design-aware but cost-conscious customer.

I started to think first about how this brand could be sustainable yet create great accessories. I then decided that the brand could use plastic and glass washed up on the beach to create jewellery pieces. The logo type is Monotype's Grotesque. Using letter press I created this texture which works well for the worn beach aesthetic. For this I created a look-book, stationery, bags and had a go at making and designing my own beach-combed jewellery.
