Twenty40 | THE END of supercars

  • Frederick Jewson

A passion project through and through. A love of cars and film making sparked this phenomenal journey which took us to some staggeringly gorgeous roads and scenes. From the peaks of Snowdonia to the depths of Cheddar Gorge, then to our very own private race track as used on the Grand Tour... An absolute pleasure to work on this project. This shoot is intended to be a homage to one of the most superior, naturally aspirated V8s around... A tribute to the dying breed of combustion engines, and an acceptance, with excitement, to the electric era to come. Everything within this short film was done to respect the car, all sounds and visuals are true to the machine. Nothing overly fancy, just a man and his machine. Technically, we shot this entirely on last generation Blackmagic cameras, on the tightest budget imaginable... If you could see how we achieved some of these shots you may be a tad surprised! Due to this being a passion project, this production took over 1 year to complete, during this time our gear was upgraded, but we wanted to stay true to the production and stick with the original Cine and Pocket cameras.
