Two Wildly Different Perspectives

Told through two anecdotal examples - The 'Leave' strategy employed by Dominic Cummings in The Brexit Referendum and Thomas Jefferson's Presidential Campaign in the Election of 1800 - we explore the influence of political marketing on the democratic process and it's impact on a national and cultural psyche. Formalistically an unconventional documentary short, making use of mixed media from archive stills and video, on the ground vérité style footage of the March 29th Brexit rally shot by our own crew and an energised soundtrack comprised of 'Could heaven ever be like this' by Idris Muhammad, 'In Motion' by Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose and 'House of the Risin' Sun' by Bob Dylan. This is a student project that we completed as part of our time at The University for The Creative Arts.
