Type Tribute

Vinyl LP and Cassette Packaging Design 3 weeks to develop a series of co-ordinated designs for 12-inch vinyl LP and cassette package that allows the full exploration of the typeface Foundry Gridnik by Wim Crouwel. The aesthetic of the vinyl derives inspiration from Wim Crouwel. The grid that is being represented is based on the grid that Wim Crouwel constantly uses for his designs, including the creation of typefaces. The layout of the holes represent the aesthetics of the letters as the 90 degrees cut is in all the letters of the typeface.
