Typography Now documentary

In 1991 the seminal book ‘Typography Now’ was published at at time when new technology, critical theory and experimental approaches to typographic form were destabilising graphic design. The film interviews designers, publishers and critics who worked through this period examining the macro and micro contexts. '1. Typography Then', explores the history, theory and practice through which the book emerged, whilst '2. Typography Now' tells the story of how it was commissioned, designed and received by an audience before internet access. Contributors include: Max Bruinsma, Gert Dumbar, Margaret Calvert OBE, Michael Rock, Rick Poynor, Andy Altmann, David Ellis, Edward Booth-Clibborn, Jonathan Barnbrook, Eric Kindel, Adrian Shaughnessy, Siobhan Keaney, Phil Baines, Patrick Burgoyne and Nick Bell.
