I directed Under Milk Wood for Maverick Theatre Company on the 60th anniversary of Dylan Thomas death at The Wheatsheaf Pub, Soho, where he first met his wife. It was a particularly moving event as the Dylan Thomas Foundation were present after a memorial service at St Paul's Cathedral.
We used elements of chorus, soundscapes and physical theatre to emphasise the musicality of Dylan's work and the nostalgia of the event really presented a wonderful backdrop for the actors.
