Understanding Covid-19 Website

  • Izzi Madden

During 2020, I decided to take on a project that aimed to support Loughborough University students in regards to the Government’s new rules and regulations in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The website includes the subjects of getting tested for Covid and what the procedure is, how to isolate, how the area tier systems work and even explains procedures that the university itself has put in place to make sure every student is getting supported. Below is a walk-through video, displaying the functions and features of the website, which was created using Adobe XD. All illustrations were produced using Procreate.

Advertising the Site

In addition to the website prototype, I decided it would be useful to design and produce some promotional posters advertising the website to struggling students.
I created three simple poster designs, all using the ‘Understanding Covid-19’ branding, that I had also used throughout the website to tie the whole project together, and then took photos of areas around the Loughborough University campus to give me an image in which to produce a mock up and add some environmental context behind the whole project.
