The University of Sheffield developed #WeAreInternational, a campaign dedicated to ensuring that the UK’s universities remain diverse, inclusive communities. This campaign inspired me whilst I was creating work for the Marketing Department in the University's School of Education. In April 2016, I designed, created and managed our own ‘Wherever you are in the World’ campaign to extend these values to our online and distance learning degrees. My aim was to incorporate the values of flexibility and inclusivity into our marketing strategies - values that align completely with the learning environments of the University of Sheffield. The Twitter campaign received strong engagement from an international audience, as we matched the colour schemes of my designs with flags from across the world.
