University of the Arts London is Europe’s largest specialist arts and design university, with close to 19,000 students from more than 100 countries. Located in 14 sites across London. UAL is a collegiate university made up of 6 distinct colleges: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Art.
In 2014, UAL is supporting over 250 MA-level creative arts students with generous postgraduate scholarships, covering just under 50% of the cost of their tuition fees. Having worked successfully with UAL Awarding Body on the development of their brand we were asked by the university to help them launch and promote the scholarships.
The intention of the campaign was twofold: to draw attention to the wealth of MA-level courses available at UAL colleges: and to highlight the scholarships available to prospective students. Our campaign solution features a simple, thematic typographic headline which flexes across six posters, each featuring dramatic shots of past and current MA students' work. The posters were used across the entire London Underground network throughout February and March 2014. The campaign was also executed digitally, featuring on UAL college sites as well as external MA course sites.
