This was an industry lead collaboration project, supported by Campaign Design Studios, Corian Design and mental health charity, Student Minds. Our brief was to re-design the future of retail. My team won the pitch with our design of an interactive installation which took visitors on an unexpected journey by flipping the psychology of retail on its head, expecting active participation in order to find and experience the product. The structure will consist of archways with walls made of biodegradable foam. Visitors were asked to chip away at the foam walls using Corian tools. As the visitors carved away at the foam, they discovered small boxes containing bespoke jewellery designed by Falmouth University alumni Joanna Bury. The project took a total of nine months to go from pitch to reality and became an event which my team and I presented at the London Design Festival. The project was challenging and introduced me to a new world of conceptual design and really pushed me to be flexible work efficiently, to think outside the box, and to keep myself the team's motivation up throughout. My role in the project involved being in charge of helping conceptualise the event and design, developing a brand image, pitching ideas to clients, copywriting for press pack, social media management and general PR.
