Unseen Bits - Short Film

Unseen Bits is about an unlikely reality tv contestant being pushed on the show after not being accepted for who he really is. Inspiration for the film came after hearing about the suicides of former Love Island contestants. It was also inspired by an episode of Jeremy Kyle in which ITV wrongfully edited the show to portray a guest in a bad light. This also resulted in the guest suicide. The god playing of ITV on shows the like ones mentioned is something that needs to be regulated and investigated before anymore damage is done. Whilst “Unseen Bits” depicts the problems of reality tv, at its heart is a story about finding acceptance in yourself and learning to have confidence with who you are. I was a 2nd AC on this project
