Urban Bathers

This documentary portrait project, which is ongoing, started in summer 2018, as my final major project for my MA in Photography at Middlesex University. The project aims to demonstrate the act and art of bathing through the lens of a camera. Drawing on inspiration from the Old French Masters' bathing series, I attempt to create my own series. I alternate between the bathrooms of my sitters, to the public swimming ponds at Hampstead Heath and further afield. In order to capture the interior and exterior, the private and the public, a popular and sometimes problematic topic for artists.
