V&A Landmark Project

In 2007 we introduced the first series of our Landmark Projects, they have now become the public face of the London Design Festival. Over the last few years we've been inviting some of the greatest designers and leading architects in the world to experiment with new materials and processes - often in some of the most iconic spaces in London.
Zaha Hadid created an amazing piece of work, Urban Nebula, from polished black pre-cast concrete at the Southbank Centre. Since then we’ve teamed up with a stellar cast of creative teams
that have included David Adjaye, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, David Chipperfield, Amanda Levete, Marc Newson, John Pawson, Keiichi Matsuda, Nendo and Arup.
As Ben Evans, Festival Director explains: "What really interests us is making each year different. If one of the skills of design is to look at the world in new ways, that's something we want to reflect. And that's very much the theme behind our Landmark Projects".
