VALKYRIE

My graduate collection was inspired by key goddesses of Norse mythology: the Valkyries and the Norns. I wanted to create clothes for a modern, fashion-conscious witch using moody statement pieces and an elongated, relaxed silhouette. I included symbolism from Norse myths throughout the collection, such as lacing threads in runic patterns, raven motifs and geometric seam lines inspired by runes. Intricate embroidery and beading are integral to this collection with special care paid to tiny details.
