ValUE at the Siobhan Davies Studio

ValUE is a multi-layered project that challenges racism and ideas of 'conventional' beauty. The exhibition explores reclamation, ownership, primitivism, and the notion of allowing black women to curate and own their narratives, rather than settling on stereotypes of what the black female body means. The launch night on 09/09/2022 will be a chance to celebrate Ebuwa's "love letter to herself and all Black women" - and will be an important milestone in the fight for making change through art. The evening begins at 18:30 to allow time for guests to see the exhibition. Food, drink and exclusive merchandise will be available to purchase. After an Artist Talk at 19:15, celebrations will continue with a fabulous DJ on site! Tickets to the launch night are free, but must be booked in advance via the website
