Vintage Ads

For a mini personal project, I decided to create a body of vintage-inspired ads. I came up of this idea from when I came across many 1960s and 70s adverts on Pinterest, this sparked an interest in me. I was captivated by the style, layout and fonts they would use during that time. Which later influence me to reimagined them with a modern twist. I sourced the reference images on Instagram. Furthermore, I wanted to use a range of different skin tone, so there was a board representation in my work. I firstly painted the faces using acrylic paint and colouring pencil for detail and to add dimension. I later scanned them in and worked on photoshop to clean up and add the graphic typography to make it look like an advert.
