For the October issue of Vogue Man Arabia, I wrote about one of fashion’s most recent obsessions: men’s haute couture. It was only until 1997, when we saw a tangible renewal of the ancient craft of haute couture, with Jean Paul Gaultier presenting men’s looks at his debut couture show. But is today’s rise of menswear in couture collections a novelty? Or another circular phenomenon of fashion? I had the pleasure of interviewing Cesare Cunaccia (former Editor at Large at Vogue Italia), Massimiliano Giornetti (Director of Polimoda), and Belgian fashion designer Olivier Theyskens.
