I embarked on a 2 month adventure in the Philippines, where I worked at a feeding centre for malnourished children. My dad built it around five years ago after the Typhoon Yolanda devastated Tacloban and the surrounding areas. Poverty stricken and desperate, the community began rebuilding houses and businesses, however, there was a strain on replenishing the food source. That's when I decided to travel over to the Philippines in 2017 to help at my dads nutrition centre. My daily tasks consisted of travelling on a tuktuk to the town centre, where I spent about 45 minutes walking around the market, collecting ingredients for around 50 children. I would usually then ride on the back of a motorbike to the centre. I would then chop up and prepare lunch for the children, following a carefully constructed recipe, packed with vitamins and nutritional value. After the children had been fed, I would take their height and weight in a book.
