This collection was created to investigate the use of merino wool for a S/S collection- a season which wouldn't normally involve the use of wool. I explored weights and drapes achievable.
Exploring the handle of fabrics and carefully considering all yarns I used in order to achieve my intended outcomes, I opted mainly for the finest micron count wools but incorporated some heavier weighted fabrics into my collection, all the while, noting the drape of the fabric and how the post production processes encourage the fabric to act in new and exciting ways. I used a dobby loom and long pattern sequences to create delicate pattern and worked with 'colour and weave'.
