I worked with the NHS and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and had been provided a brief by the Leicestershire branch to create a 3-5 minute short informative video explaining to young people what to expect if they decide to reach out to CAMHS for support, information including - appointment times, key information from psychologists and how to reach out for further support. As this project was for the NHS I had full communication with the client to assess certain risks, consent forms and any other further information essential for the production for the curation of the video. I also curated a storyboard and shot list in advance to see if the client was completely happy with the ideas before production started. This communication has allowed me to avoid any confusion or mistakes and not shoot anything which may offend the target audience To ensure the client was happy with the outcome of the video, I maintained full open communication with the client and was completely confident with my vision and curation of the video, through several meetings and emails. This also allowed me to send drafts of the video before its completion, to make sure the client was happy or if they wanted to make any changes before the final video. The overall outcome was positive after completing the video, the clients expressed their gratitude and were thankful for the time, efforts and patience I maintained throughout the whole stage of production. This video will now be used across NHS websites, television and social media channels to help inform young people and their parents of CAMHS's services.
