A new community park was designed as part of a regeneration project in West Gorton, Manchester. The focus of the park was to give residents and visitors new outdoor facilities, as well as providing a 'sponge' to re-use rainwater for irrigation and prevent flooding with the use of rain gardens. Design features include swales, wildflower meadows, rills, timber play, and community grow boxes. My involvement was mostly design based, and writing NBS specifications for everything on site.
