‘Create What’s Next’ is a new film that unveils an exciting rebranding for global tech company Western Digital. The digitally animated clip uses refracted light, elusive shapes and striking bursts of colour to conjure an atmosphere of anticipation and intrigue — we composed an original electronic score to partner the illuminating reveal. With the film opening in darkness, we utilised the mysterious sounds of airy synthesiser pads and rumbling sub-bass to build suspense before a pacy beat drops at the first sign of bright, pink light. A melodic bass groove locks in with the galloping rhythm, before a second drop sees the whole track burst into colour, leading towards a thrilling crescendo full of bright electronic effects and climactic snare hits, just as the contours of the new Western Digital logo appear.
