What is Research // Newspaper

‘What is Research?’ is a newspaper exploring the methods of research. I printed the paper using Newspaper Club. I used my research process to inform the visual identity of the project, choosing to represent the research process as a puzzle. I used different puzzles as inspiration for my imagery including a dot to dot puzzle for the cover and crossword puzzles for the contents pages. I selected red as one of the primary colours of the colour scheme to represent the red pen I use when annotating my research. I used hand drawn elements to represent my voice and process, creating a contrast of the loose messy hand drawn elements against the structured page designs.
