When I Was Little

  • Kalila Shapiro

Created at the MIT Reality Hack at the MIT Media Lab, "When I Was Little" is an immersive augmented reality and virtual reality narrative. It uses narrative to explore perspective and memory, and creates a new type of multiplayer, participatory, storytelling. This project uses the Magic Leap One, Oculus Quest, Unity, DepthKit, the Azure Kinect, and NormCore.

I worked as a Unity developer, the main programmer for NormCore (communications between the Magic Leap and the Oculus Quest) and headset interactions, scriptwriter, DepthKit and volumetric filmmaker and director, and voice-over actor. More details can be found on my website.
