Widening The Gaze Exhibition

Widening the Gaze is an exhibition I curated which ran alongside a conference that explored the role of race in creative practice held at the Slade Research Centre. The exhibition included works by Slade alumni; including Alvaro Barrington, Shenece Oretha and Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. Curating this show gave me the chance to organise, recruit and lead a team to help me realise my vision for the exhibition. Widening the Gaze has since positively impacted the Slade School's curriculum and introduced the requirement for new tutors to look into de-coloniality within their research.
